Of all the vox pop TikToks I have watched – where an overly-enthusiastic American will accost someone on the street and ask them a series of intimate questions – cowboy boots are at the top of the list when it comes to the fashion trends people want to “leave behind in 2023”. Which is interesting, because the trend I would most like to leave behind would be TikTok’s vox pop journalists.
On the basis of her latest outfit, I would assume that Katie Holmes has been liberated from the For You Page’s fashion commentators and their grating – sorry, singsong – vocal affectations. That is because she wore a pair of Partlow cowboy boots while schlepping around Manhattan, with a double-breasted camel coat from The Frankie Shop and a pair of ever-so-slightly distressed jeans.
